Fruit Turnovers
2-1/3 cups
bisquick or other baking mix
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
1 can fruit pie filling
|
| Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix baking
mix, sugar, margarine and milk until soft dough
forms. Gently smooth dough into ball on lightly
floured cloth-covered board. Knead 8-10 times.
Divide dough into halves. Roll one half into
rectangle, 12x8 inches, cut into six 4-inch
squares. Place squares on ungreased cookie sheet.
Place 1 tablespoon pie filling in center of each
square. Fold opposite corner over. Press edges
with floured fork to seal; prick tops. Repeat
with remaining half of dough. Bake until brown,
15-20 minutes. Heat remaining filling; spoon over
warm turnovers. |
